Shout Out for Sure Start !
Children's Centres are already making a difference to children and families in Surrey, and we want to make sure that they become embedded in the every day lives of families. We want every child to have the chance to flourish and have the opportunity to benefit from this fantastic programme.
Please visit the Shout Out for Sure Start link (on the link page !) which aims to raise the profile of Children's Centres among families with young children who haven't yet started using them and rally support for the programme.
About Hamsey Green Sure Start Children's Centre...
We opened our doors in June 2008 and have developed two very popular Stay and Play sessions for children (0-5 years) and their carers which are held on Tuesdays 9.00 – 11.00 and Fridays 1.30 – 3.00.
We also have an Advice & Information Drop In session from 9.00am - 11.00am on Monday and Thursday mornings. We welcome mums, dads and carers to call in for a coffee and a chat, for support, advice and to gain information. We like to talk to our mums, dads and carers so that we can put together services that will be beneficial and enjoyable. Our aim is to develop a timetable that will provide services that you want – so get in touch let us know.
Please also use this session time to speak to Jackie, Lea or Caroline if you need to pick up any vitamins or if you would like to buy or donate nearly new uniform.
We will be hosting a new Bumps & Babes session on Monday afternoons 1.30 -3.00, run by the NCT. Bumps & Babes is a small friendly group providing the opportunity for new mums and mums-to-be to meet on a regular basis to socialise and meet new friends. An NCT breast feeding counsellor will be visiting the group once a month to give advice and support.
We have a new *Baby Clinic which is held every Tuesday 12.30 - 1.45. Come along, weigh your baby and meet the Health Team.

Grandparents are welcome to come along to our Grandtime Stay and Play Session on the first Wednesday of each month 10.00 -12.00. This session is for Grandparents and the children in their care (0-5 years). Please feel free to come along and have fun, make friends and enjoy your time together!
One Step At A Time is a completely new, small and friendly play session for families with children with special needs or learning difficulties. Please come along on the first Wednesday of each month 1.30 - 3.00 to meet new friends and play!
The Citizens Advice Bureau will be visiting the Children's Centre on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 1.30 - 3.00. They hope to provide an information service for you - Please ring for an appointment.
Registered Childminders are invited to a Stay and Learn Session which runs every Thursday morning 9.30 - 11.30, please come along to make new friends and meet other childminders and the children in their care!
We have a Kickers and Crawlers Session for carers and babies who are not yet walking on Friday mornings 10.00 - 12.00pm. All babies receive a Graduation Certificate once they are 1 year old and will be invited to graduate to the Stay and Play Sessions on Tuesdays and Friday afternoons!
We are very pleased to be able to provide our visitors with disabled facilities in our fabulous new Children's Centre! Please only use the disabled parking bay if you have a valid disabled parking badge on display and do not park in the staff car park even for a short time.
